At a time when sub-Saharan African communities aspire to greater social and cultural emancipation, this project approaches the creation of a cultural centre that promotes community development. The core concept is to generate a living heart of exchange and gathering, organised around a central circular place, a symbol of unity and togetherness, surrounded by three buildings with distinct functions: education, culture and artistic practice.

At the heart of the project, a set of bleachers defines a shaded hub for sharing, rest and performance. Building orientation has been carefully considered to control natural light and generate shaded areas. Thermal comfort is ensured by natural airflow through the raised roof and filtered metal openings, while the sandbag walls coated in red earth provide thermal inertia, keeping interiors cool in the heat and temperate when temperatures drop.
